Our Executive Committee governs the operation and fiscal management of Compassionate Care of Shelby County.
Individuals from all walks of life represent our community’s voice. The professional background is also diverse and includes professionals in medicine, education, law, finance, and those with careers in the service sector. The Committee meets monthly to discuss and vote on major decisions affecting Compassionate Care’s financial and administrative management. All of the Committee members are committed to Compassionate Care’s Mission Statement and provide financial support. Members also participate in committees that further help manage clinical operations:

Ali Rittenhouse
Chair
Compassionate Care welcomed Ali Rittenhouse to the team in 2017. Ali is the owner of Creative Marketing Strategies located in Downtown Sidney. We are so pleased to have Ali’s leadership on board to help in our efforts in getting out the word about the services we offer to the uninsured and under-served of the County. She sits on 2 other downtown non-profit boards and is involved in various fundraising events throughout the year with other local agencies.
Eileen Hicks
Vice Chair
Eileen Hix joined the CCSC Board of Directors in January 2014 and has settled in quite well. Eileen comes to us from Sidney First United Methodist Church, where she is the Children’s and Family Pastor. Her enthusiasm and smile is extremely contagious. We are blessed to have her on Compassionate Care’s team. Eileen is married to husband Chip and have two lovely children that share her excitement for life. Eileen and Chip will be empty-nesters soon, as the children make their own way in life. We wish her all the best as she helps to guide the board and to help keep us on track to accomplish CCSC’s mission.
Corey Kremer
Treasurer
Corey Kremer joined the Compassionate Care Board of Directors in January, 2018 as Treasurer. Corey is a Certified Public Accountant with Monnier & Co., CPA’s and specializes in individual and business taxation, tax compliance, and business advisory services. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. Corey is excited and honored to volunteer his time and expertise to serve as the Treasurer of Compassionate Care.
Mitch Eiting
Past President
Mitch Eiting is CCSC’s Chairperson and brings to our organization a wealth of knowledge and experience in promoting a vision, as he does in this role at Midmark. “To provide products and services for efficient and effective patient care, and to make a positive difference in the practice of healthcare and in every life we touch.” Mitch is the Manager of Global Community Relations for Midmark Corporation. He also serves as the President of the Midmark Foundation. Mitch’s experience doesn’t end there. He also oversees Midmark’s corporate donation program, he coordinates volunteer programs and donation activities with corporate partners to donate healthcare equipment to developing countries in need, as well as clinics in underprivileged areas.
Closer to home, Mitch serves his local community as a member of the Versailles Rotary Club, VP/Board member of Family Health CHC of Greenville, board member of the Wright State University – Lake Campus Foundation and the Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce. His educational background includes an Associate Degree in Sales and Marketing from Edison Community College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Wright State University. He is married with four children and enjoys family time, competitive cycling, and self improvement. We are so pleased that Mitch has accepted this role of being a board member for CCSC and we feel confident with his past and present experience, he will bring a renewed enthusiasm to CCSC.

Dan Bensman
As a community-minded, team player, Dan Bensman joined the Compassionate Care Board, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. A practicing attorney with Faulkner, Garmhausen, Keister, and Shenk, Dan specializes in corporate and commercial law, real estate and estate planning, trusts, probate, and taxation. He also serves on many non-profit boards, enabling him to act as a liaison with other Shelby County organizations and agencies. “I am hopeful that my prior experiences with these organizations will allow me to help guide Compassionate Care in navigating the uncertain future that exists in health care today,” Dan stated. His forward thinking will undoubtedly help spread the word regarding all of the positive things being accomplished at Compassionate Care, and assist our clinic in its continuing mission of providing quality health care to our underserved neighbors.
David Buchanan
Dave Buchanan, VP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT since 2019 at Wilson Health. As VP of Business Development, Mr. Buchanan is responsible for leading and coordinating the inpatient and outpatient planning and business development activity, including service line planning, transaction activity, and physician alignment and integration activity.
Education: Master of Healthcare Systems and Nursing Administration from Wright State University, Dayton, OH; Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH.
Experience: Director of Operations, Premier Physician Network, Dayton, OH from 2018-2019; Director of Emergency and Perioperative Services, Wilson Health, Sidney, OH from 2017-2018; Director of Emergency Services, Wilson Health, Sidney, OH from 2015-2017.
Professional Activities: Board member of Compassionate Care, Member of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and member of Emergency Nurse Association (ENA).
Matt Rismiller
Board Member for 14 years and past Director of Emerson Employee’s Coming Together. The mission of the organization is dedicated to the enrichment of Emerson employees by offering personal and professional growth opportunities through meaningful programs and fellowship.
Jeffery Van Treese, DDS
Compassionate Care welcomes Jeffery Van Treese, DDS to its Board of Directors. Dr. Van Treese currently serves on the YMCA Board, the YMCA Foundation Board, and the Foundation Board of the First United Methodist Church. His organizational skills led to his participation in the Give Kids A Smile program which provides free dental care to grade school children with dental needs. After graduating from Miami University and The Ohio State University, where he received his Dental Degree, Jeff completed his General Practice Residency at Ohio State. He has been a practicing dentist in Sidney for the past 25 years and has held numerous offices in professional organizations. His sense of fairness and his desire to use his God-given skills led him to volunteer at Compassionate Care and to encourage his colleagues to provide dental services as well. Dr. Van Treese hopes to see our clinic make the transition from an urgent care facility to a comprehensive clinic that encompasses preventive care.
