MEET OUR STAFF

Along with volunteers, Compassionate Care of Shelby County relies on its small staff to coordinate the many services we provide. Under the direction of our Executive Committee, each of our staff members has the knowledge, training, and people skills to carry out the day-to-day responsibilities necessary to serve our patients with confidence and competence.
Traci Milanese
Traci Milanese is Compassionate Care’s Executive Director. Her vibrant, upbeat attitude brings new light and ideas to Compassionate Care. Traci is a very confident, team-oriented leader who is always willing to jump right in with both feet. She is very approachable and easy to relate to and always greets people with a smile. She makes time for each person and makes everyone feel appreciated and important. Traci has great networking and organizational skills. She also has a unique way of pulling people together as she generates input and feedback from patients. She effectively creates a great team of staff and volunteers who genuinely care for the people we serve. Traci comes to us with a Bachelor Degree in Education, as well as 2 Associates Degrees, one of which is in Medical Assisting. In addition, she taught for two years Medical Assisting at Edison State College. We are fortunate to have Traci’s talents and outgoing personality to guide Compassionate Care in its mission “to respectfully provide quality care and hope to the underserved of Shelby County”.
Jackie Messer
Our bubbly Jackie Messer joined our crew in February. Jackie brings an array of talents to Compassionate Care. Her natural social skills, personality and giggle is a light in many of our patients lives. She is certified in Phlebotomy and STNA. From the moment Jackie walked in the door, I knew she was perfect for this position. She is easy to talk to, approachable and her positive personality creates a fantastic environment for staff and patients.

Jackie has 2 beautiful children who are heavily involved in 4-H, so she spends a great deal of her time helping with 4-H projects. She also enjoys hunting, reading and family time. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church and has recently joined many mentoring groups within the church family. Her future goal is to grow stronger in her faith with God. We are beyond lucky to have this smile on our Compassionate Care Team and I cant wait to see what her future holds.
